Companhia de Guies de Montanha
Mountain guiding originated with illustrious Alpine climbers such as Gaston Rébuffat and Lionel Terray, and with avid mountain-lovers such as Frisson-Roche and Arnold Lunn whose enthusiastic writings and audacious ascents transmitted the noble sentiment of mountain conquest and the moments of happiness thus shared with fellow-climbers.
The same spirit of endeavour, aspiration and friendship inspires the Mountain Guide Company to follow our masters’ footsteps and help other climbers to explore and treasure mountains in the Pyrenees, Alps and other faraway places in Asia and South America.
The Companhia de Guies de Montanha specialises in mountaineering activities such as rock climbing, trekking, ascents and mountain skiing.
We enjoy working with small groups (maximum of 6 – 8 persons depending on the activity), which enables us to transmit our enthusiasm and mountain know-how as we climb.
